Never Underestimate the Power of Missions! 29. Mar 2026 Brad Mayer Purpose, Trip Reports While visiting Nigeria, I was told about three missionaries who came to Nigeria in the 1890s who were honored for their work in this part of Africa. I was able to share at a large Seminary for this ECWA church in Nigeria. After the chapel service I did, we took a group picture with all the students and faculty. Then I had a Holy Spirit moment… just a simple thought that all of that seminary and even the denomination itself with hundreds of churches existed because three Canadian missionaries obeyed God and came to Africa. We should never think a missions journey has no impact.
Prison Ministry in Ilorin, Nigeria 23. Mar 2026 Brad Mayer Trip Reports It was a privilege to join a large outreach team to minister in the prison in Ilorin, Nigeria. We were able to bring food, medicine, footwear and most importantly, the Gospel to 150 prison inmates. There were two translators who helped us share a message of life and hope in both the Yoruba and Hausa languages.
New LIFE Group begins in the Philippines! 16. Mar 2026 Brad Mayer Announcements One of the highlights of our recent trip to the Philippines was a gathering of evangelists for a morning. A powerful result of this meeting was the development of a local LIFE evangelism group for the city of Davao in the Philippines. LIFE stands for the Local and International Fellowship of Evangelists. Their first monthly meeting as a group was March 9th. We have had a local LIFE group in our city in Canada for a few years and we have seen our group grow from 6 people to close to 40 outreach leaders and evangelists from across the denominational spectrum. We have had many opportunities to connect and collaborate… and now it is good to see another local group of evangelists in another part of the world meeting regularly like what we do in Canada. There is always a powerful synergy when evangelists connect and work together.
