Ministering to the poor in Nepal

The month of May 2017 was filled with over 40 ministry opportunities for our team of four from Canada.  We taught pastors, leaders and Bible school students, ministered in churches and even out in open air village meetings, which are not common in this majority Hindu nation.  We prayed for the sick, led people to Jesus and impacted lives in a part of the world that desperately needs the Gospel.  The crowded city of Kathmandu and the rest of Nepal are filled with temples where the people treat rats, cows, monkeys, snakes, mountains and millions of other 'gods' as sacred.  Here is where the message must go, to the people who need to hear God's good news the most!

Making a Difference in Zambia

It was a great pleasure to work together with my good friend and fellow evangelist Dr.Charles Kazumba in his home nation of Zambia in October 2016.  Together with a team of 11 from Canada & the US, we overcame a number of challenges to minister at a large church leadership conference.   While most of the team ministered at the conference, I was sent out to also minister in a number of local churches throughout the city of Lusaka, Zambia.

Whenever the Gospel is preached and people hear it and receive it... God makes a difference.

Mission Kenya: October 2016

Our time in Kenya was busy in October as over 100 ministers of the Gospel were impacted at leaders conferences during the day, while multitudes heard the Gospel each night at open air crusade meetings.  Pastors from Uganda, DRC (Congo), Burundi, Rwanda & South Africa attended the leadership times and received impartation and practical training in the word of God.

Our team of 12 included 4 Canadians, 7 Americans and a pastor from Uganda.   We were privileged to meet and pray with a governor overseeing 1.5 million people from the region around the city of Eldoret, Kenya.   Much of our ministry that took place on this trip will be broadcast internationally on the Holy Spirit Broadcasting Network.

Ministry in Moldova - August 2016

Crossing the border from Romania into Moldova was the first time I really felt like I was passing behind the 'iron curtain.' This former communist nation had evidences of days past with numerous concrete block buildings and Soviet-era lookouts at the border crossing.  Maybe the signs in Russian style Cyrillic lettering added to the flavour for us.

The people were hungry for the Gospel though and it was great to minister with a pastor who not only had a church in Cahul, Moldova, but he was planting another church in Galati, Romania not far away.     Pray for this nation that God would move where many women are unfortunately the victims of human trafficking.

Reaching Children in Romania

On my first visit to Romania in 2012, one of the church leaders there told me that many gypsy churches didn't bother ministering to the children because some felt that the Gospel was too difficult for them to understand.  I determined in my heart that if I ever returned to Romania, I would bring teams that would minister to children and teach about Children's Ministry - a very valuable part of bringing the Gospel to the world.   The Gospel is not difficult to understand, and we must bring it to all ages, including children.

August 2016 marked my third trip to Romania, when our team of five ministered and reached out in public parks and at a children's camp where we made an impact on the next generation.    We painted faces, played games, fed the children, did drama, gave out prizes and preached the Gospel.   We encouraged leaders to keep up the good work in reaching out to children!
